Congratulations Trucker Linguist!

You've spent decades of your life essentially inventing the field of trucker linguistics, and it's been tremendously rewarding.  Your exploration of dialectics of truckers, of trucker lingo, of trucker call prompting and slang development, has achieved a small following, but it's beginning to bear fruit as a potential means of ingress for studies of larger bodies of semiotic and slang based exchanges, like Hobospeak and Nerd Talk.

Unfortunately, your life is going to be cut short today when, while investigating trucker linguistics in an interview with Sully "Chains" McGillicutty, you're violently gang raped and murdered by a number of rival truckers.  Turns out speech is perceived as an intimate object, not for casual exchange in trucker culture, and by speaking you Chains will have violated trucker code.  For this, he and you will be killed in a truly horrific way.

On the upside, your notes are going to be discovered and posthumously published, and your death will cause a swell of interest in the field.  Years from now a handful of libraries will spring up, named for you, all of them dedicated to the study of subcultural slang, two of them with a focus on truckers.  It's as much as any graduate student murdered by a group of men high on a combination of cocaine, PCP, and Viagra could hope for.

Congratulations Trucker Linguist!
